When will my order ship?
Animals are not shipped until full payment is received.
After you place an order, we will text you at the number provided during checkout, on the next available shipping day to confirm details with you. We ship Monday through Wednesday for delivery on Tuesday through Thursday. If you place an order on wednesday through sunday, you will receive the text on Monday, because that is the next available shipping day. Feel free to text me at 352-667-3331 if youd like to discuss it sooner.
In the text we will provide you with the address to your closest fedex ship center location for your consideration for pickup, and then we will discuss and confirm the available delivery date with you. No one can legally ship live animals to any fedex that hasn’t been cleared to accept “dangerous goods” which includes FedEx onsite, and various FedEx franchises that are not ship center locations. Sorry that one’s not up to us at all. But no need to worry, we will provide you with the closest address that will accept live animals.
For same day orders we typically need to have the order confirmed by 11am EST to go out same day. Feel free to call to confirm after placing an order if you're in a rush :)
We only ship after you have confirmed you will be able to receive it at the date and time discussed in advance.
We try to get orders out as soon as possible, but there are some circumstances where delays are inevitable. As much as we take great pride and joy in having the animals, I assure you we aren't trying to keep them from you on purpose, promise!
If you'd like to purchase an animal but wont be around for an extra week or what not for delivery, we usually can hold a purchased animal for you for a some time, Feel free to call and we'll hammer out those arrangements :)
While we will do our best to ensure you will be sent your animal quickly, we reserve the right to refuse to ship an animal until we believe it is safe to do so. Whether or not a shipping day is deemed safe is determined on a case by case basis and is at our discretion. Been doing this a long time guys. We're pretty good at shipping risk assessment and we will not ship to you if we believe the animal will suffer a significant risk of harm by doing so. If you simply can not wait for a shipping day that would be safe, you may cancel your order of course but be sure to read the terms before doing so.
Weather does typically dictate our determination for shipping safety, but this is not the only criteria however, and if we need to postpone shipping, we will discuss this with you.
We typically* consider it safe if the entire days forecasted high and low temperature at all the stops along the route (tampa, hub, & destination) are between 32 and 80 degrees, and there are no forecasted severe weather or fedex service delays.
So! if the weather listed at tampa, the hub in memphis (or Indianapolis) and your destination address are between 32 and 80 degrees all day, then we typically can ship. There are exceptions though.

We do not ship in severe weather including but not limited to hurricanes, thunderstorms, blizzards, etc that are occurring anywhere en route, at our discretion. Increment weather causes delays :(
We do not ship live animals during times when there are carrier advisories that claim packages will be delayed or otherwise not arrive on time, such as when fedex suspends on time delivery guarantees. This is for the animals safety. Again, delays are bad mmk?
We do not typically ship on thursday for arrival friday it’s a safety issue for the animals because if FedEx delays the package at all, then they will stay at the hub the entire weekend, which isn’t climate controlled. since our heat/cold packs can only work for 40 hours tops they would be subjected to uncontrolled temperatures for up to two days before they would be delivered to you. Theres a real risk for harm there.
We currently make no guarantees if the animal is not shipped to a fedex ship center. I realize its convenient to have the animal delivered to your door, but there are a lot of issues that only arise when delivered to the house. So while we always will do everything in our power to ensure animals are shipped as safely as possible, we make no health or live arrival guarantee whatsoever if not delivered to a fedex ship center.
We will deliver to the house only if absolutely necessary. I really hate to inconvenience you. It’s just that unfortunately, delivery to the house has a considerably higher safety risk to the animals. the heavy majority of the trucks used for local delivery are not climate controlled- and they sit for hours on those trucks. We’ve also had drivers flat out refuse to deliver snakes. We’ve had drivers mistreat the boxes, throw them at doors, or leave them at the end of driveways, on porches, and then not update the tracking for hours. So people had no idea they had been delivered until after they already passed of exposure.
We’ve had drivers deliver them to the wrong house, and the wrong people opened it and killed the snake because they were afraid of it. We’ve had drivers give them to apartment managers who refused to give them to the tenants who bought them because it’s against their lease to own a snake. Do this long enough and you’ll see some wild stuff. But we never have these issues with hub deliveries. In fact, the only DOA’s we’ve ever had were from home deliveries. So we strongly discourage it.
If is your snake and we will respect your decision should you decide to take the risk and request us to ship to the house anyway, but if you want to risk it then its at your risk to take, not ours.
