Live Animal Shipping is done through fedex priority overnight.
We ship Monday through Wednesday for delivery on Tuesday through Thursday (excluding holidays and increment weather). We do not typically ship on thursday for arrival friday simply because on the rare chance the package is delayed it will be delivered on friday instead of spending the weekend in a box at a sorting facility, as heat packs are only good for 40 hours this presents a significant risk to the animals welfare. We do not ship in severe weather ( including but not limited to hurricanes, thunderstorms, blizzards, etc) at our discretion.
While we will do our best to ensure you will be sent your animal quickly, we reserve the right to refuse to ship an animal until we believe it is safe to do so. We will not ship to you if we believe the animal will suffer a significant risk of harm by doing so. If you simply can not wait for a shipping day that we deem safe, you may cancel your order (a 10% restocking fee will apply). Whether or not a shipping day is deemed safe is determined on a case by case basis and is at our discretion. We may not consider a shipping day safe if temperatures at any time (overnight highs or lows), at any point in route (florida, sorting hub, your location) are below 36 degrees or above 90 degrees. This is not the only criteria however, and if we need to postpone shipping for the animals welfare, we will discuss this with you.
In some rare circumstances we can ship outside of these parameters, but only if picked up at a local fedex hub, and on a case by case basis.
We do not ship live animals during times when there are carrier advisories that claim packages will be delayed or otherwise not arrive on time, such as when fedex suspends on time delivery guarantees. This is for the animals safety.
Insurance is available on live animal shipments at the cost of $2.50 per each $100 of animal value. Please contact us if you would like to add this optional service to your order.
Animals are not shipped until full payment is received.
In all live animal deliveries, shipping dates must be discussed and agreed upon in advance to ensure the safety of the animals.
