Payment plans:
Payment plans: 30 day payment plans are available on animal orders over $250 (before shipping costs) with a minimum non-refundable deposit of $50 USD or 20% whichever is greater. Payments can be made however you'd like to structure it so long as the total balance is paid in full within the agreed upon time. If payment is not made in full within the agreed upon time, any money paid will be forfeit, and the animal will be placed back up for sale
Note: We’re known for being above reasonable about things, so as my mother would say “you’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar”. If you get what I’m sayin’. We're pretty reasonable folks. Let us know if you need a little more time. We may, or may not, at our sole discretion, extend payment plans. This is considered on a case by case basis. We cant help you if we don't hear from you!
All Animals are sold first come first served. The first person to pay for the animal receives the animal regardless of who inquired about, or 'committed to buying' it first. This means having a dialogue about your desire to purchase the animal, asking to negotiate price or enter a payment plan, etc., does not grant you exclusive rights to purchasing it. housesnakemorphs.com offers a shopping cart system that any customer may use at any time to complete their purchase. Because of this, those requiring payment plans, alternate forms of payment, etc may place a deposit on/purchase an animal just seconds after the same animal was purchased through the website. Or vise versa, a person may complete an online purchase just seconds after someone else already paid for the same animal using another method. In these cases, the person who paid for (or placed a deposit upon) the animal first will receive the animal. The other person will have the choice of either receiving a refund, or credit towards a different animal. We strongly encourage you to place a deposit on/purchase the animal you want quickly because several people are often interested in the same animal at the same time.
It is impossible for us to know the serious buyers from the window shoppers without payment, so to be fair to everyone we do not hold animals without a deposit either.
Trades
We typically only offer animal trades if they can be done in person, but exceptions have been made on a case by case basis. We are located in New Port Richey, Florida. We also will trade animals for equipment we are seeking (see below). If shipping animals, we will typically require that you ship first. We have a firmly established reputation in the industry of being trustworthy. You're welcome to research that of course.

Files:
Any all black crossi file snakes (these have black tongues, black mouths, black eyes, black scales etc). We have a female of this variant and are seeking a male specifically but would be happy to take more females as well.
any unusual color/morph of crossi file snake, such as albino or luecistic.
Classic files that are not particularly rare will be considered under some circumstances, however given that they are commonly imported with difficult to treat parasites their trade value will be minimal to compensate for the high likelihood of expenses we will incur from veterinary testing and treatment. You're always welcome to ask though!
Egg eaters:
We are actively seeking:
Montane egg eaters (dasypeltis atra) especially the black variant, but also the red one. Also interested in adult females of gansi, and male or female fasciata, scabra.
trade value would be minimal for the commonly imported small gansi egg eaters, as again, they will need veterinary testing & treatment. Any odd color or patterns would have higher value of course.
Equipment etc:
We are currently seeking a refrigerator/wine cooler of large enough size to fit 10 sterilite 6qt shoeboxes or larger and can maintain a temperature of 65 degrees (f).
We are always on the lookout for another finch breeder to help supply the egg eating snake colony.

International Orders:
We are happy to serve our international customers, however, we can not export ourselves-yet. So how this works would be you would need to find a "transhipper" you trust and that we can ship to here within the US. They would receive the box we sent to them and then continue the export process and ship the animals to you. We do guarantee live arrival to the transhipper, following within our usual terms policies.
However, we can not make any guarantees of any kind in regards to what arrives to you. This is because we don't have any control over anything that your chosen transhipper does, or doesn't do. We could ship the exact, healthy, properly sexed, animal that you bought in good faith to the transhipper, and then they can decide to keep it and tell you it died and to take it up with us. Transhippers can take in animals from multiple shipments and then swap out an animal from one to the other, sending you a different animal. There's really no telling what they may do. What they do with the animals once they are in their possession is outside of our control, and therefore outside of our obligation.
So its very important for international recipients to research and find a transhipper that you personally trust. If your transhipper claims the animal arrived DOA, wrong animal, improperly sexed, etc, then your transhipper will need to follow the terms set out in the terms page for you to qualify for a claim.
